The BeamFlex extension is the ideal solution for all applications that require configurable sample illumination and signal detection modes. It enables four different options for upright and inverted imaging in reflection and transmission. BeamFlex provides easy switching between configurations for the highest flexibility in adapting to every experiment’s individual illumination requirement.
The upright reflection mode follows the standard beampath, with illumination and detection performed through the objective above the sample.
With inverted reflection mode, both beampaths are redirected so that the light is introduced and collected from below the sample. For this configuration, the microscope's input and output coupler modules are relocated to a position adjacent to the sample stage.
In transmission mode, sample excitation and signal detection are performed from opposite sides of the sample. Both the illumination from above and detection from below, as well as inverted configurations are possible.
